We are so quick to judge someone based off of what we see in the physical, forgetting to look deeper within. We get blinded by societies standards telling us that ”first impressions tell you all you need to know about a person”, that’s false. We don’t have all the facts from our initial meeting with someone so we should be so quick to judge them, you never know what’s going on with them at that moment.

“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”- 1 Samuel 16:7 NLT

We are wired to form our worldly opinions about people within minutes and whatever it is that comes into your mind can sabotage that relationship from the start. Granted we will not be best friends with everyone we meet but you can’t automatically dislike someone you don’t know.

Where the mind goes the man follows – Joyce Meyer

As Christians, we are supposed to see people the way God sees them. Let us be willing to learn to see and think about others through Gods eyes, then we will see people as valuable and not a problem.

The way you think about people affects how you treat them. Let’s try to develop a mindset that thinks WWJD in our dealings with others.

“Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly.” – John 7:24 NLT
