If you know me then you’ll know I’ve always had a thing for books. I can thank my father for that, he used to make me read a book a week and then write a summary on it in order to eat out on Friday nights lol. Of course, back then the books weren’t as hefty (I was in elementary school) but it formed a hobby for me that has been instilled in me till this day. I can spend hours in books stores just looking and reading up on all the possible books to add to my growing library. I get so much joy from purchasing and completing a book it makes no sense.
My dad always told me that reading is fundamental and the best way to enhance your vocabulary and writing skills, is to read books and newspaper articles, honestly, I never got with the newspaper but books, yea that’s all me! I personally struggle to read e-books, it just doesn’t give me the same feel as a traditional book, so I’m sure my future kids will have plenty of books to choose from.
This year I wanted to read a book a month but I haven’t been living up to that goal so far due to the “adult life”, I have however read 6/12 and praying to make it to 9 this month. Nevertheless, I wanted to share a few books on my shelf, many more where this came from. Hope you enjoy and feel free to send me any recommendations or reviews.
