Christ Representer

If you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ve noticed that I’ve begun share my morning and night devotionals on my IG story. I’m not sure what prompted me to start but I’m glad I did. I’ve had friends and family look forward to them and comment positively. Today’s post may be a little repetitive for some after my IG story but bear with me because this message is a deep and very important one.

Christ Rep·re·sent·er:

  1. a person who makes a representation of Christ the Messiah, one who represents, describes or presents a matter or situation in the way Christ would in order to influence the outcome of winning souls for Gods’ Kingdom
  2. to be an example of Godly living

I’m a strong believer that in this Christian walk we have to become more intentional in representing God and spreading his word. We shouldn’t be people that are all talk and don’t practice what they preach/share on social media platforms, that defeats the purpose that God mandated us to do.

Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. – 1 Cornithians 11:1

We must be Bold & Obedient in spreading the gospel and become role models for others to emulate. We must honestly and truthfully, in Christ, behave as a Child of God, not “faking” it for the world.  Let your light shine brightly in this dark world we live in. Be rooted in Christ, fight the battles of temptation and win, be a Christ Representer to your generation and beyond!

Being a Christ representer isn’t meant to be an easy lifestyle, you have to surrender yourself completely and solely to God. Dieing to yourself and living for him always and forever. You have to live a Godly lifestyle not just speak it, actions and words. Don’t be a hypocrite in the terms of not practicing what you preach – ” Do as I say”  & not ” Do as I do”. Remember, it’s never too late to turn over a new leaf and live righteously.

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. – 1 Timothy 4:12

Don’t think that people around you don’t notice and take stock of what you’re doing. You may not be the most popular or have 5million followers but trust me, someone is always watching, so make it worth their while and win souls for Gods’ kingdom along the way. Don’t fall in satans trap to live questionable lifestyles and engage in the foolish things that are going on around us. You don’t want to tarnish your image or steer people down the wrong path causing them to despise God.  As the saying goes, “everything that’s done in the dark will come out to light”… eventually. satan doesn’t want you to fulfill your purpose in life, he knows those to target and prowl upon to destroy what God has in store for them/ to discredit them.

He is after the “Esthers” because he wants to stop them before they get to the king’s palace. He is after the “Daniels” because he wants to stop them from being relevant in life and in governance. He is after the “Nehemiahs” because he can’t stand them rebuilding the broken walls of godliness.  – Pastor  E. A. Adeboye

As Christ Representers, you have to be strong in the Lord, pushing through, practicing the fruits of the spirit. You have to be determined and unwavering at what going on around you, not being lukewarm. Go against the grain, break through and fulfilling your purpose here on this earth. Never forget that you’re here for a reason at such a time as this.

Be Bold, obedient, and relevant!
