Walking In your Purpose

We are planned for God’s pleasure, formed for God’s family, created to become like Christ, shaped for serving God, and made for a mission!

I thought my life would a little different than the way things are at the moment but like the good book says:

For my ways are not your ways nor are your thoughts my thoughts – Isaiah 55:8

Since a child, I wanted to become a physician of some sort but It didn’t pan out that way for me, but all hope is not lost this woman is still underway in her education and will make it soon. I graduated from Towson University with a degree in Psychology and now work at a mental health clinic. I won’t deny that my job can be a bit challenging and no I cannot read your mind but I know in my heart that I’ve been called to help and encourage others.

Focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life purpose. – Rick Warren

Most of us just want to know what God created us to do and do it. I’ve been struggling with this but I’ve come to realize that I just need to follow my heart’s desires, passions, and most importantly my spiritual gifts. I believe that my purpose in life is being revealed to me more and more each day, especially as I continue to read (What on earth am I here for? by Rick Warren), and I will embrace it and fulfill it by God’s grace. I have a passion for helping others, to motivate, inspire, and encourage through the word of God and my life experiences. I don’t mean to be that annoying “perfect/know it all” evangelist because I’m nowhere close to any of that, but with the strength of God, I just want to be more like him.

Your attitude must be like my own, for I, the Messiah, did not come to be served, but to serve and to give my life.”- Matthew 20:28

I was put on earth to make a contribution and by serving others, I am serving God (That’s my number one goal right now).  My mindset has changed, I’m being tested every day all day, and sometimes I fail but I will get right back up and use my God-given abilities to help others, and in turn fulfill my purpose on this earth. Life is not always peaches and cream and if we are honest and patient with God, ourselves, and others, we will be able to learn, serve/help those around us, and love others along the way.

Life is all about Love and I’ve decided to love God and love others … that’s how I’ll walk into my purpose.

XOXO,

Nana
