Setting 2018 Goals

Everyone seems to get into a frenzy about making new years resolutions time and time again yet, do you really stick to them?

This year let’s make a vow to set REALISTIC expectations for ourselves this year, take it month by month and don’t be too hard on yourself when things don’t tend to pan out the way you envisioned in your mind, you’re ultimate goal should be that God’s plans for your life and not your own.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11

  • Sit & Reflect on the past year and what you were and weren’t able to accomplish. Whiles doing this write down the things that you are able to roll over into this year to add to your 2018 list
  • Compile your goals for this year IN WRITING, it doesn’t matter how many you have or what they are concerning. There is something about pen & paper that make things very authentic in my opinion but also typing it in your notes on your electronic devices or even an excel spreadsheet provides visibility, grants you the access to track, pray, and reflect on from time to time.
  • Take the time to pray for direction with your goals and that what you’re thinking is in-line with God’s will

You may not think that these points are not much but give it a try them and see what God will do for you in this year!

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this  – Psalm 37:5

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans – Proverbs 16:3

Prayer:

Lord,

As I’ve written these goals of mine for the year I commit them into your care. Please grant me your Divine Direction, Grace, and Godly Wisdom to complete all of them according to your will. If I have written anything that is contrary to your plan for my life I ask that you open up my eyes to see the way that you have for me, your will not mine is what I seek for my life and nothing else, In Jesus Mighty Name I pray. Amen

xoxo Nai
