God Blessing Goals

Started a new devotional this month Via the Bible App with my cousin and the one I selected for us started off with a heavy hitter – What kind of Goal Does God Bless?

We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.

Proverbs 16:9 NLT

THE HOLY BIBLE

As Believers, it’s our aim to please God in all that we do. We yearn for God to direct us and hope that everything we do is according to His will. But the reality is that there will be times that we set goals that are not in the will of God, and therefore He will not bless them.

Two Questions to Consider when determining your goals:

Will my goal honor God?

When you eat or drink or do anything else, always do it to honor God.

1 Corinthians 10:31

THE HOLY BIBLE

When we are setting goals we should think if what we have set out to do will bring glory to God. Anything and everything can be done in honor of our Lord, it has to do with our mindset and motives.

Is my goal motivated by love?

Do everything in love.

1 Corinthians 16:14

THE HOLY BIBLE

God blessed goals that are motivated by the desire to show His light, His ways, and His Love to those around us. If your goals are motivated by greed, envy, jealousy, fear, pride, evil, …etc He is not in it, and He will not bless it. When your goals are not rooted in love the execution of them tends to include mistreatment and running over of others to fulfill them, that’s not of God. That behavior does not show the Love of God.

Your Ultimate Life goal should be to show love, REAL LOVE, to everyone around you, even those that are hard to love or aren’t very nice people. That molds you to become more God, for God is Love.

Nai Quotes:

You want your life to bring honor to God, so your goals should help you be the best you can be for Gods Glory

Excellent! A great reminder that when all is said and done God looks at the heart and motive. 💕
